How to Select the Right Temperature Sensor for Industrial Equipment
Compare PT100, RTD, thermocouple, thermistor and digital temperature sensors by range, accuracy, response time and installation environment.

A good temperature sensor choice starts with the real working temperature range, required accuracy and installation method. PT100 and RTD sensors are well suited for stable medium-temperature measurement where accuracy and repeatability matter. Thermocouples are stronger for high-temperature or fast-changing processes. Thermistors are compact and sensitive for electronics and battery packs. Digital temperature sensors are useful when the system needs calibrated digital output and easier data acquisition.
Before ordering, confirm the probe diameter, sheath material, cable length, thread, connector, output signal and protection level. If the sensor replaces an existing model, share the old part number, wiring definition and installation photo so the new unit can match the equipment more closely.
